Hovdala, with its variety of landscape types and biotopes attracts many of the Swedish bat species . We take a closer look at the landscape that attracts so many bat species and we look and listen for bats. We will watch bats and we use bat detectors to hear them.
The walk is fairly easy, however, it is not suitable for wheelchairs. We will walk on trails from the castle to Hammarmölledamm (a dam nearby) and back the same way.
Important note for non-Swedish speaking guests: Swedish will mainly be spoken during the batwalk. Information will briefly be given in English but unfortunately there is not time enough to translate everything.
Start and finish at Hovdala castle, meeting point is Porttornet (the Gate Tower). The batwalk takes about two hours.
